Terms of service

Terms for using this website and our services

Last updated 21 October 2026. Please read these terms before using this website or contacting us for a service.

1. Agreement to these terms

These terms apply to your use of this website, operated by Safeguard Forensic & Biohazard Services Africa (“Safeguard”, “we”, “us”), based in Nairobi, Kenya. By using the website, or by ticking the agreement box shown on your first visit, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

2. What this website is for

This website gives information about our forensic, biohazard, CBRN, infection prevention and control, decontamination, training and related services, and lets you contact us. It is not a booking system and nothing on it is an offer that you can accept automatically.

3. Our services are provided under separate agreements

A service is only agreed when we confirm the scope, price and conditions with you in a written quotation, engagement letter or contract. That agreement, and not the general descriptions on this website, governs the service. If it conflicts with these terms, the written agreement prevails for that service.

4. Emergencies

For an urgent or life-threatening situation, call the emergency line on +254 708 481 664, and contact the police, fire service or ambulance where appropriate. Submitting a website form is not a guaranteed way of reaching us in an emergency, and we cannot promise a response time to a form. Calling is always faster.

5. Information, not advice

The content here is general information about our services and the standards we work to. It is not professional, legal, medical or safety advice for your particular situation. Mentions of standards, bodies and frameworks (such as WHO, CDC, MOH, ISO or OSHA) describe the frameworks our work is aligned with and do not mean that those bodies endorse us, unless we say so explicitly. Awards and recognitions are shown as received and are described in the words of the award graphics.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the website in any unlawful way or to send false, misleading or abusive requests, including hoax emergency calls;
  • try to gain unauthorised access to the website, its servers or other users' information;
  • introduce viruses, scrape the website in bulk, or overload it with automated requests;
  • pretend to be another person or organisation when contacting us.

7. Intellectual property

The text, logos, graphics, photographs, layout and other content on this website belong to Safeguard or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view the site and use our contact details freely. You may not copy, republish, modify or sell other content without our written permission.

8. Links to other websites

The website may link to other sites, such as WhatsApp or award organisations. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

9. No guarantees about the website

We try to keep the website accurate, secure and available, but we provide it “as is” and do not promise that it will always be error-free, uninterrupted or up to date.

10. Limit of our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website, or from relying on its general content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Liability for a service we perform is governed by the written agreement for that service.

11. Privacy

How we collect and use personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

12. Changes

We may update these terms and our Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a significant change, we may ask you to confirm your agreement again.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya, and the courts of Kenya have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, subject to any dispute-resolution process agreed in a written service agreement.
